Contacted by telephone, however, deplored the way the actor was treated by his loved ones at the end of his life. “He left, in terrible conditions. “He was a prisoner in his own home,” assured Brigitte Bardot.
According to Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon had very little contact with the outside world: “No one could enter this property or even talk to him on the phone. The family decided everything. This last year has been miserable,” she continued. Despite this, the actress maintained strong ties with her friend: “We never saw each other, but he called me regularly,” she added. She continued, “We celebrated each other’s birthdays, we called each other for nothing at all, just like that. He liked being alone, and so did I.”
Brigitte Bardot’s touching tribute to Alain Delon
After the death of Alain Delon, Brigitte Bardot paid tribute to the memory of the Samurai. In a handwritten message sent to AFP last August, she spoke of “an ambassador of elegance, talent, beauty”. “I am losing a friend, an alter ego, an accomplice. His passing has left an abysmal void that nothing and no one can fill,” she confided. Alain Delon and Brigitte Bardot had never had the opportunity to act together in the cinema. However, they had forged a beautiful friendship during their career. Devastated by his death, Brigitte Bardot remains inconsolable.
