Recently revealed in a George V Magazine interview that she would not be able to carry her own children. Starting by explaining how she hadn’t revealed this information before, the 32-year-old singer said, “I unfortunately can’t carry my own children.” She further said, “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”
Gomez then opened up about her evolving plans concerning motherhood. The “Love On” singer explained that she had not necessarily “envisioned” her pregnancy journey in this way. She thought it would go how it usually happens for other people. However, she feels she is in “a much better place” with the thought now. The actress then stated, “I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.”
Selena Gomez, who recently portrayed one of the leads in the film “Emilia Pérez,” expressed that she is thankful for the other ways available for people who desperately want to become mothers. She exclaimed, “I’m one of those people,” further saying, “At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
Gomez is currently in a relationship with 36-year-old songwriter and producer Benny Blanco. In the interview, she also talked about him and said that they always make sure to protect what they have right now. Moreover, she always wants Blanco to be himself and the same for herself.
